Samantha and I studied
acupuncture together for nearly four rigorous years (encompassing
over 3000 hours each of combined academic and clinical work) at
Tai Sophia Institute for the Healing
Arts, the first accredited program for the study of
acupuncture in the United States. The Institute has now grown into
a national center for graduate education in complementary
medicine.
I have a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and I am a nationally board
certified licensed acupuncturist. I have
earned distinction as a Diplomate in Acupuncture from the National
Commission for Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
(NCCAOM) and I am a certified Acupuncture Detoxification
Specialist through the National Acupuncture Detoxification
Assoc. My undergraduate education at Cornell University gave me a
strong background in western scientific principles in the
biological sciences with an emphasis in pre-medical studies.
